The World Cartographic Forum meets at the International Cartographic Conference, which is held every two years.
The inaugural meeting was held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel on 3rd July 2017 during the 28th ICC in Washington, DC, with 40 delegates representing 20 countries attending. The Forum was officially endorsed by ICA President Prof. Menno-Jan Kraak.
